UNC Health Care is seeking a Per Diem nurse to keep informed of critical patients and emergency cases across departments. You will monitor bed availability, assist admissions and transfers, and coordinate with Clinical Managers.

This role requires RN licensure in North Carolina and a Bachelor's in Nursing. The position emphasizes compliance with EMTALA, policy adherence, and active participation in performance and quality improvement activities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited Nursing school preferred.
• Must have NC RN Licensure and BCLS.
• Five years of previous experience is desired.
• Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional material.

Responsabilidades

• Keeps informed of critical patients, police cases, and media interest cases throughout the hospital.
• Monitors bed availability and assists in admissions/transfers.
• Support staff in staffing decisions and notify Clinical Manager as needed.
• Responds to emergency situations per procedures.
• Represents Rex Healthcare and reports activities to Executive staff on all shifts.
• Keeps informed of current policies to assist staff.
• Monitors hospital activity and provides assistance as needed.
• Maintains a shift report detailing restraint use, sitters, and census.
• Reviews transfer forms for accuracy and EMTALA compliance.
