As an RN in the Operating Room (OR), you will assist in delivering exceptional care, from initial patient contact to post-operative care. You will interact directly with patients, families, and visitors, enhancing their experience and providing healthcare information. Shift Details: Varying shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a 48-hour work week over six weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct ongoing patient assessments.
2. Recognize and respond to significant changes in patient condition, setting measurable goals.
3. Update care plans based on patient needs.
4. Involve patients and families in developing individualized care plans respecting cultural, religious, and educational backgrounds.
5. Administer patient care, medications, and treatments.
6. Participate in interdisciplinary evaluations and quality improvement initiatives.
7. Delegate tasks to team members.
8. Plan patient care using specific information and prepare necessary equipment and supplies.
9. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring surgical site verification and proper specimen handling.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Completion of AGMC and RN orientation programs.
• Operating Room (OR) experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Physical Requirements:

• Full range of motion, handling, lifting, dexterity, and coordination.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Normal vision and hearing with correction if needed.
• Ability to work under stress and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
• Physical exertion up to 50 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently.
• Physical demands exceed those of Light Work.

• Use of PPE as per standard precautions.
