The Registered Nurse (RN) provides safe, effective, and patient-centered care in the Operating Room, Gastroenterology Lab, and other perioperative areas. Using the nursing process and evidence-based practice, RNs collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes. This role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and adherence to the Texas Nurse Practice Act.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and individualized nursing care to diverse patient populations.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain professional standards, confidentiality, and infection control practices.
- Participate in committees, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Take call and respond within 30 minutes when on duty.
Requirements
- Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Experience: New graduates welcome (no prior experience required)
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Current RN license (Texas)
- CPR/BCLS (AHA)
