Novant Health is seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse for the Hawthorne Surgical Center in Winston-Salem. This full-time role features a 6:45A–3:15P schedule, Mon-Fri, with occasional late days if cases run over, and no weekend shifts or on-call requirements.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of OR experience, active RN licensure in the state, and is comfortable in scrub/circulator roles with attention to sterile technique and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED; 2-year/Associate degree required; 4-year/Bachelor's preferred.
• 1 year OR experience required.
• Active RN licensure in appropriate state; ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
• Assist with room setup and maintain sterile fields according to surgical standards.
• Function in scrub and/or circulator roles during procedures

What We Offer

• Schedule: Full-time (40 hours), 6:45A-3:15P with an occasional late day if a case runs over. M-F, no weekends, no major holidays & no call!
• Department: Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), Operating Room (OR) position.
• Location: Hawthorne Surgical Center, 1999 South Hawthorne Road, Winston Salem
• Unit Info: Some of the common procedures consist of Opthalmology, Pain & Podiatry
• Requirements: Requires at least 1 year of recent OR experience. Candidates with Interventional Radiology experience can be considered as well.

What You'll Do

• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring availability and functionality of surgical instruments, supplies, implants, medications, and equipment.
• Assist with room setup and maintain sterile fields according to established surgical and infection control standards.
• Function in scrub and/or circulator roles during surgical procedures
• Anticipate surgeon, anesthesia provider, and surgical team needs throughout procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• Experience: One year of operating room experience
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS and PALS, preferred.
• Additional Skills (required): Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
