Job summary

Vibra Travels seeks an Operating Room RN to join its expanding traveler network. You’ll support surgical teams in hospital ORs across the country, travel as needed, and maintain strict sterile technique and documentation.

The role requires 1 year OR experience, current RN license in the employment state, a valid driver’s license, and ability to travel using public transport. ACLS/BLS certifications are required by Vibra or clients.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of recent operating room experience.
• Current, valid, and active RN license in the state of employment.
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub or circulating nurse support during procedures.
• Travel as a licensed RN to partner facilities nationwide.
• Maintain sterile technique and comply with OR protocols.
• Prepare and document perioperative information in EMR.

Minimum Qualifications

• One (1) year of recent operating room experience
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required, AHA preferred and required by some clients.
• Other certifications may be required by the client. Ex: CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse)

Other Skills Required

• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in high-stress environments and respond quickly in emergencies
• Proficient in sterile technique and OR protocols
• Ability to serve as scrub or circulating nurse during procedures
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon and surgical team
• Ability to transfer patients to recovery and provide hand off communication
• Strong documentation skills using EMR
