Job summary

Vibra Travels is seeking an Operating Room OR Registered Nurse RN to join our expanding network of travel clinicians. We’re looking for dependable, detail-focused travelers with hospital experience who can support life-changing procedures across the country.

As an OR RN traveler, you’ll work as scrub or circulating nurse, maintain sterile technique, and document care in EMR while coordinating with surgeons and staff at partner facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• One year of recent operating room experience.
• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to travel using air and ground transportation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scrub or circulating nurse during procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique and OR protocols.
• Document patient status and hand off communication in EMR.
• Collaborate with surgical team across facilities.
• Adapt quickly in high-stress environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• One (1) year of recent operating room experience
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required, AHA preferred and required by some clients.
• Other certifications may be required by the client. Ex: CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse)

Other Skills Required

• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in high-stress environments and respond quickly in emergencies
• Proficient in sterile technique and OR protocols
• Ability to serve as scrub or circulating nurse during procedures
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon and surgical team
• Ability to transfer patients to recovery and provide hand off communication
• Strong documentation skills using EMR
