Job summary

Vibra Travels seeks an Operating Room OR Registered Nurse RN to join its expanding travel network. You’ll assist in life-changing procedures while traveling the country, with a focus on reliability and precision in hospital settings.

We offer competitive hourly rates, tax-free stipends where applicable, and reimbursement for licenses when moving to new states. Work with a single recruiter from start to finish and choose assignments across partner facilities nationwide.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of recent operating room experience.
• Current, valid RN license in the state of employment.
• ACLS and BLS certifications from Vibra Travels-approved vendor.
• Ability to travel using air and ground transportation.
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in sterile technique and OR protocols.

Responsibilities

• Serve as scrub or circulating nurse during procedures.
• Support the surgeon and surgical team and anticipate needs.
• Transfer patients to recovery and provide hand-off communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR.
• Work across multiple facilities as part of travel assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

• One (1) year of recent operating room experience
• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations

• Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required, AHA preferred and required by some clients.
• Other certifications may be required by the client. Ex: CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse)

Other Skills Required

• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in high-stress environments and respond quickly in emergencies
• Proficient in sterile technique and OR protocols
• Ability to serve as scrub or circulating nurse during procedures
• Anticipate needs of the surgeon and surgical team
• Ability to transfer patients to recovery and provide hand off communication
• Strong documentation skills using EMR
