Role Overview:
Provides advanced perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room, PACU, or related settings. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care, ensuring safety and quality at the point of care. Acts as a preceptor and supports specialty education and competency validation during clinical orientation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in perioperative environments.
- Model proficiency and support team collaboration for optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with AORN and ABPANC standards, with clinical educators guiding ongoing education.
- Prioritize wellness, safety, and evidence-based practices in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure, BLS certification, and relevant certifications such as CNOR preferred.
- Minimum six months of OR nursing experience or completion of a fellowship program.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.
