Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our care teams in Georgia. The RN will independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, while adhering to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Requirements include current RN licensure in Georgia with good standing and BLS. A BSN is preferred, with two years of RN experience encouraged and additional certifications such as ACLS/PALS/NRP welcomed as

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• BSN degree preferred.
• Two years of RN experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP or other clinical certifications preferred.
• Color vision required for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines.
• Follows the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
