Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients per physician orders and established guidelines, within the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN licensure in Georgia with BLS certification; preferred BSN, 2 years RN experience, and additional Life Support certifications. Work hours: 830-1700.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• BLS certification under American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
