Job summary

UChicago Medicine is seeking a Staff Nurse for the 10E Oncology/SCT unit at the Hyde Park campus. This 100% onsite role requires the candidate to reside in the greater Chicagoland area and work 7PM–7:30AM on a full-time (0.9 FTE) schedule.

The RN will provide patient-centered care in a stem cell transplant unit, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes. ADN licensure, Illinois RN license, and BLS certification are essential, with tuition

Qualifications

ADN required; must enroll in BSN within 6–9 months of hire and complete BSN within 30 months.
Current RN Illinois license.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

Utilizes appropriate assessment skills to determine patient needs.
Develops a plan of care for patients whose needs require Case Manager collaboration.
Assumes charge nurse responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Provides support to peers and acts as a resource within the team.
Uses clinical pathways and plans of care in line with standards of practice.
Maintains professional growth and attends continuing education and program evaluations.
