University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago's Hyde Park is seeking a Special Procedures Nurse for the Oncology Rapid Assessment Clinic. This 0.6 FTE, part-time, 2x12 hour night shift is 100% onsite and based in the greater Chicagoland area.

Under supervision of attending physicians or a licensed independent practitioner, the RN provides high-risk nursing care including sedation and IV infusions within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred; enroll in BSN program if not completed.
• Current IL RN license.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and/or PALS certifications.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-risk nursing care for sedation and infusions.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status during procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety.
• Maintain equipment and comply with HIPAA and hospital policies.
• Assist in recovery phases and perform post-sedation monitoring.
