Job summary

Baptist Health’s Montgomery Cancer Center seeks an RN in Oncology to provide direct and indirect patient care in infusion or clinic settings. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, manage reactions, educate patients, and support providers as needed.

The role may include supervising and training staff when assigned. The ideal candidate has an RN license, BLS, and at least 1 year of oncology or critical care experience; degree requirements are nursing-focused.

The RN will be responsible for a variety of functions such as the patient assessment, medication administration, responding to reactions, patient education, documentation, and provider assistance as needed. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.**Education** Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 1-year critical care or oncology experience preferred.**License/ Certifications** Active RN licensure required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, Chemo, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending upon area assigned**Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities** Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software. Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Must be able to meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
