Baptist Health is seeking an experienced RN Oncology for the MCC-Prattville location to provide direct and indirect patient care in the infusion treatment area or the provider’s clinic. You will assess patients, administer medications, respond to reactions, educate patients, document care, and assist the provider as needed.
This full-time role requires RN licensure and BLS; oncology experience is preferred. Strong teamwork and communication are essential in this setting.

The RN – Oncology shall be responsible to provide direct and indirect patient care in either the infusion treatment area or the provider’s clinic. The RN will be responsible for a variety of functions such as the patient assessment, medication administration, responding to reactions, patient education, documentation, and provider assistance as needed. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within scope of the role.
Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 1-year critical care or oncology experience preferred.
Active RN licensure required, BLS required, Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, Chemo, TNCC, etc.) may be required depending upon area assigned
Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software. Strong team leadership skills, strong organization, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Must be able to meet strict deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to remain calm in difficult situations. Strong written and oral communication skills, proficient computer skills, proven track record of successful performance. Ability to understand complex multifactor situations and bring appropriate solutions. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
