Job Summary

Cancer Center is open M-F between the hours of 7:30am -5:30pm.

$5,000 Sign on Bonus! (WDH RN's not eligible)

Salary Range: $38.71 -$67.87. Pay is based on experience.

Summary

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients' clinical needs and nursing care requirements, ensuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Essential Functions

• Maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.


• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions or side effects.


• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.


• Monitor, document, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.


• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.


• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.


• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.


• Experience in lieu of a degree: No.

Licenses and Credentials

• Registered Nurse (RN) - State License: Required


• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Required


• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (AHA): Preferred


• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP): Preferred


• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): Preferred

Experience

• 3 years of clinical nursing experience required.


• Oncology experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of the principles and skills of practical nursing necessary to provide safe, effective patient care and treatment.


• Knowledge of age-specific care requirements for the populations served.


• Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.


• Knowledge of medical terminology.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
