Job summary

Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, safe patient care on the night shift at our Dover, NH location. You will assess patients, administer medications, document care, and coordinate with the healthcare team to implement plans.

Requirements include an active RN license, an Associate's or Bachelor’s in Nursing, and at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience. BLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred.
  • RN license active in state.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.
  • Clinical nursing experience of 2 years minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
  • Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.

Job Summary

$5,000 Sign on Bonus Available for Full time and Part-time positions (per diem positions NOT eligible, current WDH RN's NOT eligible)

Salary Range: $38.71-$67.87. Pay is based on experience

Summary

Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients.

Experience

Clinical nursing experience 2 years required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
  • Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.
