Job summary

Novant Health’s Cancer Clinic in Kernersville, NC is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide infusion care, patient assessment, and coordination of care in a leading outpatient cancer center.

You’ll join a compassionate, mission-driven team with opportunities for oncology certification, clinical ladder advancement, and mentorship. NC RN licensure required; BSN preferred; 1–2 years oncology experience; OCN within 30 months.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in NC or compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of one to two years nursing experience, preferably in oncology.
• Willingness to earn Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) within 30 months.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls and document information in the patient’s EMR.
• Infusion room administration of chemotherapy.
• Rooming of patients and assisting physicians with treatment needs.
• Explain all processes to patients in plain language and utilize teach back.
• Dialogues with patient and support system to align care with patient preferences.
• Maintain compassion for the patient population.
