The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in Medical-Surgical Oncology, active RN license, and BLS. EPIC charting experience is preferred, and the ability to float to similar units as needed is required to meet

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult and geriatric oncology patients in a 30-bed unit.
• Administer chemotherapy and related medications.
• Manage ports and monitor for chemo-related adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans.
• Work in an interdisciplinary team and float to similar units as needed.
• Maintain rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
• Maintain patient safety and accurate charting in the EMR.

Description:We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical Surgical Oncology.The position requires a commitment to rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients in a 30-bed unit.Daily patient ratios are expected to be within 5 to 6 during day shifts and up to 6 during night shifts.The nurse will be involved in chemotherapy administration, patient education, and management of complex oncology cases.Required skills include administering medications, managing ports, and handling acute and chronic oncological conditions.Candidates should possess strong communication skills and be able to work in an interdisciplinary team.Floating to similar units may be necessary to meet facility needs.Weekend rotation is required every third weekend, subject to change based on unit needs.The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background with a focus on patient-centered care in the oncology setting.
