Job summary

As a RN, you will collaborate with physicians and staff, contribute to policy development, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Two years RN nursing experience; outpatient setting preferred.
• BLS certification and NC RN license required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily assignments to ensure optimal coverage, patient flow and care, following physician orders and safety standards.
• Acts as liaison between staff, physicians and manager; supports staff performance and addresses patient issues.
• Develops and implements clinical policies/procedures; ensures adherence to regulatory standards and quality of care.
• Provides direct patient care maintaining competencies and UNC Health Rex standards; ensures proper training for clinic procedures.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and equipment; supports budgeting and cost containment.
• Participates in ethics, performance improvement and quality initiatives; promotes evidence-based nursing practices.
• Assists in orientation and scheduling; supports continuing education and competency training for staff.
• Collaborates with physicians and APPs to tailor clinics to patient populations and ensure policy adherence.
