Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's University Hospital Observation Unit seeks a Staff Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in the observation unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Ideal candidates hold a 2-year degree and an Ohio RN license, with experience in relevant care settings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
