Registered Nurse, Part‑time 12‑hour shifts, rotating schedule, working both in OB and MedSurg.
Non‑Exempt, Hourly, Union. Benefited position.
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) assists in coordinating mother‑baby patient care and education. A registered professional nurse who is responsible for utilization of the nursing process which consists of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care for a patient or group of patients and is responsible for the provision of clinical leadership for other staff.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing required.
Current RN license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing required. Current BLS required. ACLS, NRP, STABLE and Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification as soon as available after hire. Acute and Post Partum unit check off required after hire. PALS certification encouraged.
At least one (1) year of acute clinical experience preferred. Demonstrates excellence in obstetrical nursing skills and patient care.
Responsible to understand and capable of implementing duties with the scope of rules and regulations of the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Nurse Practice Act.
Provide leadership within complex and rapidly changing clinical environment. Function calmly and effectively in emergent situations peak work times. Demonstrate positive and compassionate attitude toward patients and their families. Prioritize patient care and unit needs appropriately. Functions as a positive team member with other hospital staff and physicians. Recognize and differentiate normal and abnormal patient assessments and conditions. Provide effective education for patients, nursing staff members and students. Maintain patient confidentiality. Maintain open and effective communication with co‑workers, physicians and management staff.
