Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN for OB ICU to ensure safe, high-quality care from admission through post-delivery. The role requires strong fetal monitoring, neonatal care within the first hours after birth, and teamwork across obstetric services.

Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience in a hospital setting, BSN, and active TX RN license are required, with ACLS/NRP within 3 months of hire and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring training within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing.
• BSN required.
• Current TX RN License or RN multi-state compact license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS provider.
• ACLS and NRP required within 3 months of hire.
• Interns must complete NRP within 3 months of hire and ACLS within one year of hire.
• Must complete AWHONN Fetal Monitoring course within 1 year or provide documentation.
• C-EFM preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to care for women and infants up to four hours old.
• Must support family centered maternity care.
• Participates in on-call schedule and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Is accountable for consistent, safe, high quality care of laboring patients from admission to post delivery.
• Familiar with vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring, and anesthesia care.
• Provide newborn care during first two hours of life.
• Participates in annual competency check offs.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Is accountable for consistent, safe, high quality care of all laboring patients assigned from admission to post delivery. Is familiar with vaginal and C-section births, fetal monitoring and provide care for patients who receive various types of anesthesia. Will demonstrate expertise in providing care for patient during PACU period as well as newborn care first two hours of life.

What qualifications you will need:

Graduate of an accredited professional school of nursing

BSN required

• Current TX RN License or RN multi-state compact license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS provider
• ACLS and NRP required within 3 months of hire
• Interns must complete NRP within 3 months of hire and ACLS within one year of hire.
• Must successfully complete AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring Course within 1 year of hire or provide documentation of completion of the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course or the AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring Course
• C-EFM preferred
• Demonstrates ability to care for women of childbearing age and infants up to four (4) hours old.
• Must support family centered maternity care.
• Participates in on-call schedule and have flexibility in scheduling due to erratic census.
• Participates in annual competency check offs

Must have at least 1 year of current L&D experience in a Hospital setting
