If you are passionate about providing exceptional care and advancing innovative services for individuals with ID/DD, this is your chance to contribute meaningfully to a dynamic and inclusive organization.

Responsibilities:

The Residential Nursing Team Leader at Multicultural Community Services (MCS) is responsible for overseeing the nursing team's systems and service delivery across the residential program. This role includes supervising other nurses within the residential program, coordinating with the Clinical Director, and ensuring that holistic care is effectively delivered in collaboration with the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) clinicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Oversee and supervise the nursing staff within the residential program, ensuring that nursing services are delivered efficiently and by MCS standards.
  • Service Coordination and Liaison: Oversee the nursing team’s coordination with the Clinical Director and PBS clinicians to ensure holistic care for individuals across the residential program.
  • System Management: Oversee the nursing team’s systems, including medication administration, documentation, and compliance with Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and Department of Public Health (DPH) regulations.
  • Staff Training: Identify and address the training needs of nursing staff, coordinating with the Residential Director, Clinical Director, and MCS Training Coordinator to provide necessary training.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to DDS and DPH regulations, Department of Developmental Services Human Rights Standards, Disabled Persons Protection Commission’s (DPPC) mandated reporter guidelines, and Office of Quality Enhancement (OQE) indicators.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Monitor and maintain all medical/medication records, ensure timely reporting, and complete documentation of medication errors, medical incidents, and other required medical documentation.
