The Masonicare Health Center is a 260-bed Skilled Nursing Facility located in Wallingford, CT.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing, the Nursing Supervisor is responsible for maintaining standards of practice and care, providing leadership, and collaborating with Clinical Nurse Managers to ensure quality, safety, and appropriateness of care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure nursing practice standards are met throughout the facility.
• Uphold the nursing program during the night shift through staffing, coordination, supervision, and serving as a clinical resource.
• Provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety, and age-specific needs, interacting professionally with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Communicate effectively via verbal reports and written documentation; attend administrative meetings to share important information.
• Participate in educational programs for professional growth.
• Attend mandatory training and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing; BS in nursing or healthcare-related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Current RN license in Connecticut; CPR certification.
