Bedford Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an RN Nursing Supervisor to lead our skilled nursing team. This role partners with nursing leadership to ensure high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and a positive work environment.

The RN Supervisor will supervise staff nurses and CNAs, perform rounds, observe residents, and provide direct nursing care as needed, while upholding policies and promoting staff development and resident well‑being.

Qualifications

• Valid, current RN license.
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a long-term care facility.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, regulations, and long-term care guidelines.
• COVID-19 vaccination required.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate effectiveness of patient care and identify issues affecting resident outcomes.
• Ensure daily resident care needs are met and appropriate resident care is given.
• Address resident and staff concerns to promote quality care.
• Supervise staff nurses and CNAs to ensure duties are completed with quality.
• Make rounds of resident rooms to observe and evaluate residents' physical and emotional states.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Remain prepared to perform additional RN duties within scope of practice.

RN Nurse Supervisor Responsibilities

RN Nurse Supervisor Requirements

• Valid, current RN license
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures, and/or terminology, laws, regulations, and the guidelines that pertain to long-term care
• At least one-year experience in a supervisory capacity in a long-term care facility
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• COVID-19 Vaccination
