Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• BSN required (MSN preferred, within 3 years of hire).
• RN licensure in Texas required.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience; hospital exp preferred.
• 1 year of formal teaching or nursing professional development preferred.
• ACLS/BLS instructor certification or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and evaluates all clinical education and admin activities.
• Develops unit-specific staff education strategies to enhance performance.
• Maintains communication with pediatric staff and ancillary departments.
• Plans and manages fiscal, material, and human resources for education.
• Develops and implements hospital policies and procedures.
• Provides education on new equipment, supplies, and instruments.
