Wellmore of Daniel Island is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to oversee nursing services in a skilled nursing setting on-site, ensuring high-quality resident care and directing a collaborative team. The role requires a strong clinical background and leadership to maintain regulatory compliance and a positive care environment.

The candidate must hold a BS degree in Nursing, an active RN license, CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, and typically two years of related healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
• Two years’ experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes and operates the nursing services for Skilled Nursing department.
• Collaborates with the Resident Care Director to provide quality nursing care to residents.
• Ensures significant clinical developments are reported to physicians and leadership.
• Coordinates nursing services including Home Health, Hospice, rehab and related services.
• Maintains a schedule of rounds and 24-hour coverage to meet regulatory standards.
• Orders nursing and office supplies and equipment for the Skilled Nursing unit.
• Participates in orientation for new associates and ongoing training.
• Attends Quarterly Assurance Meetings and annual policy reviews.
• Assumes Administrator responsibilities in absence.
• Serves on-call on weekends and after hours as needed.
• Takes on Manager on Duty responsibilities as assigned.
• Engages in required in-service trainings; performs other duties as assigned.
