Description

Trinity Ridge is hiring for an RN Nurse Supervisor (1st/2nd shift) position!

Pay and Benefits:

• Base pay will be discussed upon interview.
• Full-time (Two 16-hour shifts + one 8-hour shift)
• Daily Pay available. Access earned pay on a daily basis prior to normal pay day.
• Benefits start after 30 days of employment, including insurance and PTO.

Additional Pay:

• Pay in lieu of benefits: $3.00 extra per hour!

Position Purpose/Summary: The Nurse Supervisor supervises daily nursing activities during the assigned shift, ensuring compliance with all applicable standards and regulations to maintain high-quality care.

Essential Functions:

1. Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing activities and staff planning.
2. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs.
3. Complete administrative duties as assigned.
4. Provide leadership, coaching, and training to nursing staff.
5. Notify staff of new admissions and assist with the admission process.
6. Review resident records for accuracy and completeness; observe medication and treatment administration; conduct daily rounds.
7. Investigate narcotic discrepancies; ensure drug security following guidelines.
8. Consult with physicians regarding resident care; participate in rounds as needed.
9. Contribute to resident care planning with interdisciplinary teams; ensure care plans are followed.
10. Meet with residents and families; follow up on grievances; ensure dignity and respect in care.
11. Administer direct resident care as necessary and provide professional services.
12. Follow procedures for significant changes in resident condition, incidents, or deaths.
13. Participate in infection control initiatives and safety protocols.
14. Honor resident choices and participate in ongoing education.
15. Reflect organizational mission and values in daily interactions.
16. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises nursing team, including Charge Nurses, Staff Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Restorative Nursing, and Medication Aides.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• RN degree from an accredited institution.
• North Carolina RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain it.
• Good communication skills and confidentiality.

Preferred:

• One to two years supervisory experience.
• Computer skills for electronic documentation.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Physical exertion up to 50 pounds, prolonged standing, assisting in repositioning, and ambulatory throughout the facility. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
