Med Career Solutions is seeking an RN Nurse Manager of Surgical Services in Fort Walton Beach, FL. This full-time role leads a 24-hour department, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with policies.

You will collaborate with physicians and staff, develop quality improvement programs, coordinate care with hospital services, and foster patient-centered care in a dynamic surgical services environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of leadership experience in acute care or operating room.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Registered Nurse license (RN).
• ASN is required; BSN preferred.

• Directs continuity of care using an interdisciplinary team approach with physicians and staff.

Position: RN Nurse Manager of Surgical Services

Shift: Full-time | Days

Job Summary:

Provides leadership and directs functions of assigned patient care area on a 24-hour basis; ensures effective delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures.

What you will do in this role:

• Provides leadership and demonstrates responsibility and accountability for the delivery of safe, quality, patient care for assigned departments on a 24-hour basis. Ensures department's standard of nursing practice, nursing policies and procedures meet legal, and all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.


• Directs the continuity of care through demonstrated use of interdisciplinary team approach to patient care. Collaborates and shares pertinent patient information with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient progress, and treatment.


• Develops and implements+ ongoing programs to measure, monitor, assess and to improve quality of nursing care delivered to patients. Works toward hospital-wide improvement in meeting core measure, patient safety, and service excellence goals in assigned units.


• Ensures the effective coordination of the patient's care with other services and departments throughout the hospital.


• Ensures provision of quality care and services by maintaining appropriate equipment and supplies.


• Participates in rounding and proactively responds to patient needs to improve patient outcomes and positively impact overall patient experience.


• Fosters a culture of patient centered care by ensuring a quiet healing environment.

What qualifications you will need:

• 1+ years of Recent (within the last year) Acute Care OR (Operating room) Leadership experience required.


• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• Registered Nurse license


• ASN Required; BSN Preferred

Compensation:

Salary Range:Min $95k – UP to Max $112k (15+ Years)
