Job summary

Cura of Sauk Centre is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager (RN) to lead nursing operations in our skilled nursing environment. This role partners with the Director of Nursing, Administrator, and interdisciplinary teams to promote clinical excellence and resident-centered care.

The Nurse Manager will support staffing, evaluation, regulatory readiness, and quality initiatives while fostering a positive team culture and strong family/provider relationships.

Qualifications

• Current and active Minnesota RN license required.
• Experience leading nursing teams in long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
• Experience with quality improvement and clinical compliance.
• Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to motivate clinical staff and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day nursing operations and clinical workflows.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor nursing staff.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management of nursing employees.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharge processes with interdisciplinary teams.
• Monitor documentation practices and support clinical compliance initiatives.
• Participate in QAPI, infection prevention, and quality improvement activities.
• Collaborate with providers, therapy, MDS, social services, and other departments to coordinate care.
• Support investigation and follow-up of resident concerns, grievances, incidents, and allegations as needed.
• Assist with survey readiness and implementation of corrective actions and plans of correction.
• Promote safe staffing practices and support scheduling workflows.
• Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care.
