Job Summary

• The Manager of Med-Surg directs, plans, organizes, and evaluates the Medical Surgical unit to ensure compliance with hospital and medical staff standards set by regulatory organizations (State, TJC, CMS, AHCA, etc.).
• Integrates activities into the overall hospital organization.
• Maintains efficient and effective operations by coordinating services provided to patients, aligning program activities with hospital administration, and managing budget and marketing functions.
• Responsible for staff performance and departmental responsibilities in accordance with corporate, hospital, and safety policies to meet company and regulatory standards.

Job Qualifications

• Current Florida license as a Registered Nurse or recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing requirements, including ongoing eligibility and duration provisions).
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain it within 30 days of employment start date.
