Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC seeks a Direct, supervise and coordinate the functions and activities of the Valley Hospice House Inpatient - General Care unit.

This Nursing leader will manage clinical operations, develop policies, oversee budget and quality initiatives, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and positive patient experiences.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
  • BSN required; MSN or related master's preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years in nursing management; 1 year in a management role.
  • Strong knowledge of budgets, PI, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and supervise clinical operations to provide care.
  • Develop policies to guide and support service provision.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for professional relationships.
  • Facilitate team meetings, rounds, and communication among patients and staff.
  • Monitor compliance with JCAHO/OSHA standards and safety protocols.
  • Ensure staff competency with equipment and procedures.
  • Participate in PI activities and quality control.
  • Oversee patient experience, throughput, and hospital capacity.
  • Coordinate with Care Coordination to improve discharges and throughput.
  • Assist with external contracting when needed.
  • Oversee charging accuracy for patient services and expense variances.
  • Develop and evaluate strategic plans and department budgets.

Responsible for overall management and coordination of the service to include fiscal resource management, human resource management, capital improvements and quality of services including enhancement of human experience (patient, families and caregivers).Major Job FunctionsThe following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.
