Job summary

The State of Maryland's Department of Health seeks a Registered Nurse Manager, CI to coordinate and supervise nursing care services at Springfield Hospital Center, Sykesville. The role reports to the Nursing Administrative Team and champions a recovery-oriented environment focused on safety and high-quality care.

Required is a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field, plus four years RN experience including two in supervisory or administrative roles and two in a psychiatric setting;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or health-related field from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of experience as a Registered Nurse to include two years in a supervisory, administrative or consultative capacity and two years in a psychiatric setting.
• Substitution options include Master’s degree plus two years in psychiatric nursing, or six years RN experience with supervisory/teaching in psychiatry, or military nursing service.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all facility nursing care services under Nursing leadership.
• Ensure delivery of nursing care in accordance with Nurse Practice Act standards and MDH guidelines.
• Support a recovery-oriented environment with emphasis on safety and least restrictive practices.
