Qualifications

• RN degree from an accredited college or university or is a graduate of an accredited/approved RN program.
• One (1) year professional nursing experience in long term care setting.
• Current, active and unrestricted RN license in state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides care ensuring resident safety.
• Develops and maintains nursing policies and procedures.
• Establishes and implements infection control program.
• Conducts staff training and monitors performance on hand hygiene, isolation, and universal precautions.
• Develops facility orientation and training for new partners.
• Develops in-service education programs for facility staff.
• Screens admissions for level of care and length of stay; assesses mental illness or ID as required.
• Audits clinical records for accuracy and completeness of resident assessments and documentation.
