Job summary

Maxim Healthcare's Novice Nurse Training Program is designed for new graduate RNs or those with less than one year of experience. You will work one-on-one with a patient in a home setting under real-time coaching from an experienced Maxim nurse, building critical skills and confidence for independent practice.

The program offers mentorship, hands-on patient care, and training in ventilator, tracheostomy, and G-tube management, with ongoing support from Maxim leadership and a path toward

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray, if applicable.
• Less than 12 months of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and contracted services.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document patient response.
• Monitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes related to established goals.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate updates to the physician and clinical supervisor.
• Document all care coordination and physician collaboration accurately in the medical record.
• Ensure a safe patient environment while following infection control and universal precaution standards.
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care in a home setting.

Skills
