Job summary

Maxim Healthcare's Novice Nurse Training Program is designed for Registered Nurses who want hands-on experience, mentorship, and confidence in patient care. You’ll work one-on-one with a patient in a home setting while partnering with an experienced Maxim nurse providing real-time coaching and support.

The program emphasizes vent/trach/G-tube management, development of care coordination and critical thinking skills, and ongoing mentorship with 24/7 clinical leadership support.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray, if applicable.
• Less than 12 months of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and contracted services
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document patient response
• Monitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes related to established goals
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate updates to the physician and clinical supervisor
• Document all care coordination and physician collaboration accurately in the medical record
• Ensure a safe patient environment while following infection control and universal precaution standards
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care in a home setting

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Current CPR certification

Current PPD or Chest X-Ray, if applicable

Less than 12 months of nursing experience
