Job summary

Department of Veterans' Services - Flagstaff is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide geriatric nursing care, treatment and services in a professional and prescribed manner. You will supervise and train subordinate staff and observe resident conditions under a physician's supervision.

You will document observations, administer treatments, and lead with limited supervision on assignments while coordinating with the care plan.

Qualifications

• Arizona Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required.
• COVID vaccine or declination will be emailed.
• Hep B vaccine or declination will be emailed.
• TB skin test required.
• Skills checklist to be sent separately when documents are received.

Job description

As a Registered Nurse with the Department of Veterans' Services- Flagstaff you will be responsible for providing all geriatric nursing care, treatment and services in a professional and prescribed manner. You will provide a variety of nursing care for infirm geriatric residents while overseeing and training subordinate staff in specific resident care. You will observe and report resident behavior and physical condition to include administering medical treatment and providing intervention according to the plan of care. In addition; you will act as a lead with limited supervision on assignments. This position works under the supervision of a physician.
