Job summary

State of Arizon's Department of Veterans' Services in Tucson seeks a Registered Nurse to provide geriatric nursing care, treatment, and services in a professional, prescribed manner. You will supervise and train staff, observe and report residents’ condition, and administer medications according to the plan of care.

You will serve as a lead with limited supervision on assignments, while working under the supervision of a physician. This role is based in Tucson, AZ.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN).
• Experience in geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide geriatric nursing care, treatment and services per plan of care.
• Observe and report resident behavior and physical condition; administer treatments as prescribed.
• Lead with limited supervision on assignments and supervise/train subordinate staff with physician oversight.

Job description

As a Registered Nurse with the Department of Veterans' Services- Tucson you will be responsible for providing all geriatric nursing care, treatment and services in a professional and prescribed manner. You will provide a variety of nursing care for infirm geriatric residents while overseeing and training subordinate staff in specific resident care. You will observe and report resident behavior and physical condition to include administering medical treatment and providing intervention according to the plan of care. In addition; you will act as a lead with limited supervision on assignments. This position works under the supervision of a physician.
