Job summary

Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program; Texas RN license and BLS. BSN preferred; growth opportunities through clinical preceptor roles and ongoing education are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Texas RN license (or temporary/compact license).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; additional certifications may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate nursing care per skills inventory and patient needs.
• Coordinates nursing care with an interdisciplinary team and makes clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with team; contributes to positive outcomes using standards of care.
• Develops discharge and transfer plans; participates in program evaluation.
