Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Supervision:
- Coordinate and supervise nursing staff activities during the night shift.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing personnel, addressing clinical and administrative issues as they arise.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Patient Care Management:
- Monitor patient care to ensure standards are met and intervene when necessary.
- Facilitate effective communication among staff, patients, and families to promote patient-centered care.
- Participate in patient assessments and care planning as needed.
- Staff Coordination:
- Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage, including adjusting assignments based on patient acuity and staff availability.
- Mentor and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development.
- Assist in onboarding and training new night shift staff members.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, staff assignments, and any incidents occurring during the shift.
- Report significant events to appropriate administrative personnel.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to policy development.
Qualifications
- Education & Licensure:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of GA.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in acute care or long-term care settings is advantageous.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- May require occasional weekend or holiday coverage as needed.
- On-call responsibilities may be assigned
