Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield seeks a registered nurse on the Medical 6b floor to provide patient care using the nursing process. The role includes night shifts (1830–0700) as part of rotating schedules, with a focus on pulmonary and respiratory patients and coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or course completed within probation.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Evaluates effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
