Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required; waiver may be granted for ADN with equivalent experience, knowledge, skills and Director Approval.
• 3+ years of healthcare experience; minimum 2 years acute hospital experience (adult Critical Care and House Supervisor).
• Must have current RN license to practice professional nursing in Texas.
• Ability to lift, push and pull with assistance to move patients or heavy objects.
• Ability to lift 10 lbs-50 lbs maximum with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day PPTC calls; coordinates patient placement and transfer with physicians, staff RNs and other departments while complying with COBRA/ EMTALA and regulations.
• Ensures PPTC calls follow established standards and protocols; identifies and reports quality issues.
• Matches patient needs with system resources to optimize value for patients and facilities.
• Provides follow-up communications with internal and external customers to ensure needs are met.
• Ensures PPTC workflows meet standards for receipt, tracking, documentation and timelines.
• Reports trends in PPTC workflows to management and suggests performance improvements.
• Uses problem-solving to determine the best action for patient, MD, and hospital.
• Exhibits high level of customer service in every call.
