Job summary

The Good Samaritan is a not-for-profit organization providing housing and services to seniors in a Christian environment. At GSS NE Albion, the Registered Nurse works nights, using the nursing process to deliver individualized care and coordinate with the care team.

The role may serve as charge nurse and requires adherence to nursing standards and ethics. Preferred candidates hold an accredited nursing degree and an unencumbered RN license; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Collaborate with residents, families and inter-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, and deliver nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks within scope of practice.
