Job summary

AdventHealth Orange City is seeking a registered nurse to join our Night-Weekend shift team. You will assess patients, develop care plans, administer medications, educate families, and coordinate with the medical staff to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Florida (active) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Clinical experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Willingness to participate in performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly evaluating and revising as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols; monitor for adverse effects.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient information and outcomes in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust to improve patient health and outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed; participate in code responses as needed.
