Job summary

AdventHealth in Celebration, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift. You will assess patients across multiple dimensions, create and modify care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families on conditions and self-care strategies.

You will collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care, document actions accurately, and participate in ongoing professional development to improve outcomes and safety.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• Associate degree in Nursing required
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, evaluating and updating as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols, monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure teamwork.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust for better outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance in the clinical setting.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care within the healthcare team.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement activities.
• Respond to code situations promptly to stabilize patients.
