National HealthCare Corporation is seeking a Weekend Supervisor at NHC Heartland in Nashville to oversee staffing, admissions, discharges, and family/resident concerns. The role includes supervising nursing staff, ensuring policy adherence, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

The position offers a competitive compensation package with full-time benefits and a schedule based on weekends. Prior critical care experience and a valid RN license in this state are preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed nurse with ability to meet performance requirements.
• Preferred BSN or ASN from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensed to practice in this state.
• Continued education to stay current with nursing trends and licensure requirements.
• Maintains CPR certification.
• Preferred experience in Ventilator Unit/Critical care/Special Care.

Responsibilities

• Learn, absorb and apply professional training; follow doctor's orders and keep records.
• Perceive patient behavior, recognize symptoms and communicate effectively in writing, by phone and in person.
• Organize work procedures, supervise others with tact and responsibility.
• Be a positive, open-minded member of the Nursing team and willing to learn supervisor duties.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff; monitor care to ensure policies are followed; administer disciplinary actions as needed.

Weekend Supervisor NHC Heartland

Heartland is looking for a Weekend Supervisor to join our team. Nurse Supervisor responsibilities include to oversee staffing, admissions, discharges, education, tours to perspective residents, addressing family/resident concerns, and other duties as assigned

Pay: Based off if Experience, up to $45 an hour. plus shift diff

Qualifications

• Health- Ability to meet performance requirements.
• Preferred graduate from an accredited school of nursing (BSN, ASN).
• Licensed to practice in this state.
• Participates in continuing education so that he/she has knowledge of current trends and developments in nursing and maintains current licensure requirements.
• Maintains CPR certification.
• Preferred Ventilator Unit/Critical care/Special Care experience.

• Ability to learn, absorb, and apply professional training, follows doctor's orders and keeps records in a prescribed manner.
• Ability to perceive difference in patient behavior and recognize symptoms and the ability to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone and in personal contacts.

Position Highlights

• Supervises and evaluates work performance of nursing staff.
• Monitor’s care provided to be sure policies and procedures are followed.
• Carries out disciplinary actions as stated in personnel policies.
• Completes admission, discharge and transfer documentation as needed.
• Monitors resident lab schedule and results.
• Monitors 24-hour report sheets and follows up accordingly.
• Supervises meal service in dining rooms.
• Ensure hydration and snacks are passed timely.
• Monitor nursing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure daily assignments are being followed.
• Respond to all family and resident concerns.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance program.
• Makes walking rounds.
• Completes Daily Check List and turns into ADON daily.
• Assists ADON as needed.
• Completes Monthly Summaries as assigned.
• Completes Skilled documentation as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
