Job summary

Avalon View Health and Wellness is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our night shift team in Liberty, Missouri. You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care across skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, and memory care settings, guiding care plans and collaborating with physicians and Therapists.

The RN coordinates care during 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with rotating weekends, full-time/part-time/PRN options, starting pay of $42 per hour, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program.
• Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Missouri.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or memory care experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Commitment to treating every resident with compassion, dignity, and respect.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents and monitor changes in their physical, mental, and emotional conditions.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans, physician orders, professional standards, and applicable regulations.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Ensure medications and treatment supplies are available and handled according to facility policy.
• Promptly notify physicians, supervisors, and residents’ responsible parties of significant changes in condition.
• Coordinate resident care with nursing assistants, physicians, therapy professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide direction, education, and support to nursing personnel during the assigned shift.
• Complete clinical documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
• Report and document incidents, accidents, adverse events, grievances, and concerns according to facility policy.
• Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality-of-care standards.
• Protect resident rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
• Respond calmly and appropriately to changes in resident condition and other clinical situations.
