Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Frisco is hiring a Seasonal RN for a 13-week assignment with three 12-hour night shifts per week (7p-7a) in Frisco, Texas. This role emphasizes patient assessment, care planning, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safe and effective nursing care.

Qualified candidates will have at least two years of nursing experience or a nursing degree, an active RN license, and the ability to obtain BLS within 30 days.

Our new facility, spanning 340,000 square feet, will introduce a state-of-the-art facility, tailored to accommodate the evolving needs of our rapidly growing population. Among its highlights, the facility will house crucial departments such as emergency, inpatient, procedural, and women and children.

Shift: Seasonal Contract - 13-week assignment FT Nights, three, 12-hour shifts per week, 7p-7a; 5-6 weekend shifts in a 6 week period

Requirements: 2yr (minimum) NICU experience preferred.

As a Seasonal RN, you align with our nursing model, manage patient care, evaluate, recognize, create, implement care plans. Monitor patient progress is also vital. Your knowledge will help patients navigate the healthcare system safely, reducing complications. You will use your expertise to understand patient needs and the healthcare environment.

• Using good judgment and clinical reasoning, conduct thorough assessments following practice standards.
• Identify patient and family needs, then develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans accordingly. Make adjustments as needed.

• Managing emotional and physical pain to promote recovery and prevent unnecessary suffering.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized nursing program or two years of relevant work experience
• A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the field of nursing
• A valid Registered Nurse license
• The ability to obtain a Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days of employment.
