Job Description

This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. It involves effective delegation, direction, and assistance to licensed and ancillary team members, accountability for quality patient outcomes, sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity, and involvement in activities aligned with unit and departmental goals. Demonstrates professional responsibility and supports the company's nursing philosophy.

Education

Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Work Experience

Required - None.

Certifications

Required - Current RN license in the state of practice.

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred - Certification in a clinical specialty area.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of presenting information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Job Duties
  • Utilizes the nursing process effectively in patient care.
  • Assesses learning needs and implements appropriate teaching strategies for diverse patient populations.
  • Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources, serving as a leader and partner within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
  • Enhances customer satisfaction and employee morale, promoting professional nursing practices.
  • Adapts behavior to respect patient privacy and communication preferences, including explanations of services or procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required.
