Job summary

Odessa Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced NICU RN for the Day Shift. The role requires relocation to Odessa, TX, and offers a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 with a 24-month commitment.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, assisting physicians, triaging, administering medications, and educating families. Minimum 1 year NICU experience and Texas RN licensure are required. BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications are expected; additional certifications may apply.

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications
• Suicide prevention certification
• PALS and COAP preferred
• Minimum 1 year NICU experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care
• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures
• Triages patients
• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of the registered nurse
• Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Performs a variety of tasks with a wide degree of creativity and latitude
